About Nopestalgia

Nopestalgia is a free daily puzzle. Each day you get one scene from the past, from a medieval market to a 1920s Main Street, and exactly one modern object is hiding in it. Find it in as few taps as you can.

How the scenes are made

The illustrations are AI-generated in a tin-toy lithograph style and then checked by hand. AI images often sneak in accidental modern details, so every scene gets a period check: we look for things like plastic, printed text, the wrong crops, the wrong vehicles or the wrong buildings, and re-render anything that doesn't fit the year. Each scene has a notes page explaining what's accurate and why.

Your data

Your scores and streak are stored only in your own browser. We use Google Analytics to count visits and plays. If you join the email list, we store your address only to send Nopestalgia updates. See the privacy policy.
